Randima wins SLMA Award for Excellence in Health Journalism 2010’

The Nation journalist Randima Attygalle won the SLMA Award for Excellence in Health Journalism 2010 presented by the Sri Lanka Medical Association. Randima who won the top Award in the English category, was recognised for her article ‘Exercising during pregnancy’ published in The Nation earlier this year. She is seen receiving her award from Dr. Narada Warnasuriya, President SLMA.
The main purpose of this annual award scheme by the SLMA is to recognise the relevance, factual correctness, quality and excellence in journalism with regard to health issues. Randima was also the recipient of this main award in the English category in 2007 and the merit award in 2008.
