‘Laws of Sri Lanka’ will be launched on Feb 2

Laws of Sri Lanka Volumes 1 & 2 compiled by Kalinga Indatissa will be launched on February 2 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI); No 100, Independence Square, P O Box 1203, Colombo 07 at 4:15 p.m.
Chief Justice Asoka De Silva, Justice Minister Rauff Hakeem and Attorney General Mohan Pieris, PC, will grace this occasion. The Laws of Sri Lanka compiled by Kalinga Indatissa contains an update of all laws up to December 31, 2007. Unlike the 1980 edition published by the Ministry of Justice, this new edition is arranged in an alphabetical order with cross references. Each volume contains details of Laws repealed by the Laws in that particular volume.
Once all the volumes are published a supplementary edition will be published to update the publication with all the laws valid and operative up to that point. Thereafter periodically updated supplements will be released.
