EPDP activist killed in Point Pedro

An EPDP activist was killed yesterday in Point Pedro in a road accident.
It was initially reported that the victim, Ratnasingham Satheesh (30) was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on his way to a function in a school in Kudaththanai.
However, police said that reports indicated that the victim had died due to head injuries after he fell off his motorbike.
Police, however, said they were awaiting the post-mortem report for confirmation.
General secretary Douglas Devananda also said he was awaiting the final report. “According to initial reports, there were no gun shot injuries. However, I am awaiting the final report,” he said. (AW)
