Body at Dandugam Oya: Police suspect foul play

The body of a male, 5.6 in height with his left leg cut off, recovered from the Dandugam Oya on Thursday by Ja-Ela Police, is lying in the Ragama General Hospital morgue pending identification and autopsy, Police said.
Negombo Magistrate N. Senarath Amarasinghe who held the inquest directed Ja-Ela Police to send the body to the Ragama General Hospital and conduct investigations.
Police believe that the victim yet to be identified had been brutally murdered and his body dumped into Dandugam Oya.
OIC Ja-Ela Police Chandimal Jayakody is directing the inquiries. (NS/DP)
