India’s Opp. Leader to visit N-E IDPs
Indian Parliamentary Opposition Leader Sushma Swaraj told a meeting in Mylapur Chennai on Friday that she would personally visit the displaced Tamils in the North East when she visits Sri Lanka in September.
She said her party Bharathiya Janatha Party was concerned about the plight of the displaced Tamils in the North and East and she raised this issue with President Mahinda Rajapaksa when the latter visited India.
She said President Rajapaksa at that time told her that all required facilities have been provided to the displaced Tamils and she would personally visit them when she travels to Sri Lanka. (SS)
