NATO attack kills 24 soldiers in Pakistan

An attack by NATO helicopters is reported to have killed Pakistani soldiers at a military checkpoint in the small hours of yesterday. Pakistan Premier Riza Gilani was quoted by international news agencies as saying that the attack on the Pakistani soldiers was “Outrageous” while the country’s foreign ministry has condemned the attack.
The attack was at the Salala army checkpoint in the border province adjoining Afghanistan and news services also said the already strained relations between US and Pakistan would be worsened after this incident.
