M Shazuli appointed as Head of AIS

Mohamed Shazuli was appointed as Principal of Amal International School (AIS), Colombo 6 on April 1, 2015. Shazuli has a wide experience in the field of pedagogy, having joined Zahira College, Colombo as an assistant teacher. He was promoted as Grade Coordinator and then as Sectional Head and became the Vice Principal which post he relinquished and simultaneously retired prematurely from Government Service after 20 years, to take up this new appointment.

With his affiliation to the British Council as a British Council School Ambassador (BCSA), he has conducted workshops for hundreds of teachers in various parts of the island. He has international exposure having visited several schools in Stockport, London with a distinguished delegation from Sri Lanka.

He is looking forward to working with the highly-dedicated professional staff to provide the highest standards of education for every Amalian who attends this school.

He believes in the power of partnership, and will endeavor to work hard with the management, staff, students and parents to continue the good work already being done and build a highly successful school that the entire local community could be proud of.
Amal International School, a project of Center for Islamic Studies (CIS) was established in 1991 and has a record of being a pioneer of English Medium Education in the National Curriculum. The School has classes from Montessori to GCE Advanced Level. It has produced many eminent professionals, and they are holding prestigious positions in various fields, both locally and overseas.
