The country’s main Tamil alliance, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says that the government’s main priority should be the enactment of the recommendations made by the committees that have been appointed so far and not going for new commissions.

TNA parliamentarian Suresh Premachandran told the media that rather than appointing new commissions, it is more important to implement the previously set op ones. He was mainly speaking about the efforts on solving the national issue. He also added that they do not expect a new parliamentary select committee (PSC) to be appointed over the national issue.

The Tamil party is also a stakeholder of the National Executive Council (NEC) and is engaged in implementing the 100 day program of the new government.
