President Maithripala Sirisena, when asked to respond to the claim made by former president Mahinda Rajapaksa about 'LTTE flags flying on Sri Lankan soil once again,' said that he has not heard of any such thing.

Speaking with media heads at a breakfast meeting at President's House this morning, the President pointed out that he is briefed about the country's security situation once every 24 hours and that no such developments have been reported.
'Maybe the former president can see flags that no one else can see or else maybe there's something wrong with my spectacles -- in which case I need to get them checked,' the President quipped.
