State Minister of Aviation Faizer Mustapha stated on Saturday that he will be devoting more time to his legal career. Speaking to ‘The Nation’ the State Minister said that his personal thinking is he should devote more time on legal practicing than engaging in politics.

Admitting that he had already removed his personal staff from the Ministry premises, Mustapha avoided directly responding to the question that he had plans to resign from his ministerial designation. He was said to be unhappy about the appointment of Ajith Dias as Chairman of SriLankan Airlines without his knowledge.

However, Mustapha said that he has no personal grudge against President Maithripala Sirisena or Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. He added that he will remain as a Central Committee member of Sri Lanka Freedom Party and he would also consider contesting the next General Elections.

Mustapha who represent the Parliament under the national list also promised full support to the government’s ‘100 Day Program.’
