President to visit Pakistan

President Maithripala Sirisena will travel to Pakistan on April 05 (Sunday) for a two-day state visit on the request of his counterpart President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, an official from the Presidential Secretariat said.
President Sirisena will be in Pakistan between April 5 and 7, making it his first visit to this country as president his fourth overseas after assuming duties as head of state. The president will hold official talks with Pakistan President, Prime Minister and Defence Minister. 

 “An official welcome will take place at Islamabad and a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and agreements of cooperation in various fields will also be signed following talks,” the official said. The President is expected to return on April 07 (Tuesday).
