Galle Roast coffee blends now available in stores

Say goodbye to bland coffee and hello to a cup of freshly ground Galle Roast. Spizee Foods (Pvt) Ltd announces the latest entrant to their array of products, the “Galle Roast,” a premium and house blend Coffee range targeting coffee aficionados in Sri Lanka.“We’ve worked hard on this brand of coffee for six months. We’ve tried over 20 blends with industry experts from here and overseas, we’ve gone through as many packaging options and a 100 more labels to get this right,” said Iftikar Zaruk, Managing Director of Spizee Foods (Pvt) Ltd. “Our production team includes experts in the agriculture, food science and food technology fields and so we are proud to launch a product with a unique name that symbolizes the historic town and the rich archeological heritage from which it emanates from.”

He added that in order to maintain the freshness and essence of every coffee bean, and ensure strict quality control, the Galle Coffee Roast is processed, roasted, ground and packaged all on the same day. “This way a customer can experience each package of coffee when opened to be as fresh as the day it was roasted.”

Spizee foods which carved a niche in  the Food and Beverage Industry for its freshly ground fragrant spices will be infiltrating several trade outlets in the greater Colombo, Gampaha, Galle and Kandy districts in a expansion plan in December 2012, according to Sales Manager, Andreen de Silva.“For cafés, hotels, restaurants and caterers we hope to supply in fine powder, coarse, espresso and roasted beans in bulk and smaller quantities. However orders to deliver within 48 hours would only be undertaken for Colombo” she added.Spizee Foods (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary of PDC Holdings which has been in the trade sector for the last 12 years, dealing with the BTL productions, large format print material supplies and event management.
