Crash happened on Nova Road near Sungrove Lane
OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A driver was killed after they lost control of their car before it struck a tree and erupted in flames, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the deadly crash happened on Nova Road near Sungrove lane around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to a crash report, a Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Nova Road, east of Sungrove Lane when the driver attempted to pass another vehicle and entered the eastbound lane.

Troopers said the driver lost control of the Honda and rotated off of the road left before they struck a tree. The vehicle then became engulfed in flames.
The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
The crash remains under investigation.
