One person was injured after a verbal altercation at the Daytona Flea and Farmers Market spilled over to a motel and resulted in a stabbing, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said two friends got into a fight at the flea market that “escalated and continued at the Motel 6.”
According to a news release, during the physical altercation, one of the subjects – identified as 59-year-old Constance Harrell – produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the arm and torso.
The suspect fled the scene, but was located at a gas station hiding near a dumpster and was taken into custody, deputies said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but is expected to survive, according to the release.
No other information about the attack or what charges Harrell faces were released.
