Deputies investigate shooting near Main Street, Canaan Avenue

SANFORD, Fla. – A 64-year-old woman was shot in Seminole County early Monday, officials said.

The shooting happened in the area of Main Street and Canaan Avenue near Sanford.

Fire officials said the woman was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert patient.

Details about the shooting, including information about the shooter, have not been released.
