17-year-old Sofia Lugo found shot to death on Sunday
MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies in Marion County are looking for the boyfriend of a 17-year old girl who died from a gunshot wound, according to a news release.
Deputies said that on Sunday around 12:55 a.m. they responded to a report of a suspicious death at a home in the 1000 block of NW 111th Court in Dunnellon.
According to the release, when deputies arrived, they located a female – identified as 17-year-old Sofia Lugo – who sustained a gunshot wound. Lugo was pronounced dead at the scene.

During their investigation, deputies said they identified the victim’s boyfriend, Saul Garcia Macias, as a person of interest.
According to the release, detectives have been unable to make contact with Garcia Macias and his current whereabouts are unknown.
