British tourist drowns in sea off Canary Islands a day before turning 30

Nicholas Desmond, 29, from Gabalfa, Cardiff, was in Tenerife for just hours when he got into difficulties in the sea. Emergency services flew him to hospital in Adeje but he sadly died.
