Police have issued a warning to businesses over the use of counterfeit £20 notes after an attempt to use one in Glengormley.
A business was approached on Friday, December 13, by an unknown male who attempted to use £20 note, however after staff checked it under a UV light they found that the note was a fake.
Police have provided some advice to businesses on how to spot the counterfeit bank notes saying that when placed under a UV light the 20 figure will appear as a red and yellow diamond pattern, while fake ones will show a solid blue.
