People with 12-pack cases of some Coke products may want to check their boxes.

Nearly 2,000 cases of Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta Orange soda cans have been recalled because of possible foreign material in the product.

The FDA initiated the recall last month. The product was removed from stores in Florida, Alabama and Mississippi, but the company that packaged the sodas, United Packers LLC. of Mobile, Alabama, said the “Best By” dates mean people may still have them at homes.

The recall includes the following:

Sprite 12 oz. aluminum cans in 12-pack fridge cases

Diet Coke 12 oz. aluminum cans in 12-pack fridge cases

Fanta Orange 12 oz. aluminum cans in 12-pack fridge cases

News 6 has asked The Coca-Cola Company what consumers should do if they have the recalled product in their homes. We are waiting to hear back.
