Jim Magilton's side proved their quality and mettle once again with an extra-time victory over Glentoran in their latest showpiece decider.
Club legend Joe Gormley was the hero, scoring the only goal of the game in the 99th minute. It was a clinical finish from youngster Ryan Corrigan's low cross.
Gormley has now scored seven goals in five League Cup finals. And this one probably tastes just as sweet as the others.
A bumper crowd of 14,539 packed into Windsor to make Sunday's final a record attendance in NI Football League history.
And several thousand were Reds supporters who savoured every moment.
