A Belfast City Councillor has spoken out in disgust after stickers targeting East Belfast GAA reappeared in parts of the city.
The stickers, which read 'GAA not welcome in East Belfast IRA scum', first appeared in parts of East Belfast in November 2023 and more have reportedly gone up along the Beersbridge Road in recent days. This follows a spate of hoax bomb alerts at the club's training ground since 2020, with five alerts this year alone.
East Belfast GAA was founded in 2020 and became the first GAA club to operate in the area since St Colmcille's folded in the early 1970s.

Speaking to Belfast Live, Green Party Councillor Anthony Flynn said that he has asked Belfast City Council to remove the stickers.
He said: "I am absolutely disgusted to see sectarian stickers appearing in East Belfast targeting the East Belfast GAA. East Belfast GAA are a vital part of our community, providing access to sport for people of all ages, gender and background in East Belfast.
"The club will continue to have the Green Party's full support and we utterly condemn any and all attacks on the club."
The PSNI have been contacted for comment.
