The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has postponed its decision on whether to issue arrest warrants against two suspects in connection with the Airbus procurement case.

The individuals in question are the wife of former SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena and Shaminthra Rajapaksa, both named as suspects in a complaint alleging bribery related to the aircraft purchase deal.

After considering the evidence presented by officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama announced that the order will be delivered on April 2.

The case relates to allegations that bribes were accepted during the Airbus acquisition process, which has been under investigation for several years.
