Declan Devine has warned his Glentoran players that they will have to "bring their A-game" if they are to pick up the points out of Saturday's final Big Two meeting with Linfield.
It will be a day of celebration for the Blues as the Irish Premiership champions are officially presented with the Gibson Cup, while the Glens have their own agenda as they bid to secure second place and automatic European qualification.
Devine's men are unbeaten against their old foes so far this season but the Glentoran boss insists that counts for nothing now as he expects Linfield to come out all guns blazing despite the title already being in the bag.
"What has gone on in the past is irrelevant - it's how we perform on the day," said Devine.
"It's the points that we are after. We have to bring our 'A' game between now and the end of the season.
"This is the most important game so far, but we know on any given day we can match anybody.
"Linfield's result on Tuesday night shows you how professional they are. They made a load of changes to their team and still came away with a really positive result.
"We know what we have to do going there on Saturday. We will take the positives and negatives from Tuesday night but we know they do not want to lose that game on Saturday. We have to bang at it."
The 2-1 win over Coleraine on Tuesday night propelled the Glens back into second and Devine was pleased with how his side approached the game.
"When you've five games left, the result outweighs the performance and I thought the players were really honest and aggressive in their approach," he said.
"Our captain (Marcus Kane) was outstanding and thankfully our goalkeeper saved one of the two penalties."
