Emmerdale viewers are forecasting the demise of a beloved character, and it's all due to April Windsor.
April (played by Amelia Flanagan) has been through a tumultuous period on the ITV soap. Late last year, she disappeared after a heated argument with her father Marlon (Mark Charnock), leading to a frantic search.
She was eventually located months later in a gym toilet, where she had unexpectedly gone into labour, only to be shattered by the stillbirth of her baby girl.
Since returning to the Dales, April has been grappling with her new reality, while Marlon lives in constant fear that she might vanish again, walking on eggshells around her.
Marlon, anxious about her running away again, has been lenient with her behaviour. However, he hasn't exactly been an angel during this ordeal, reports Leicestershire Live.
Last month, he resorted to framing Dylan (Fred Kettle) - a friend April met on the streets - by planting drugs on him, a revelation that left April shocked this week.
In retaliation, April feigned an overdose on ketamine, leaving Marlon to discover her seemingly lifeless body surrounded by drugs. Believing she was dead, he instructed Rhona (Zoe Henry) to call for emergency help, only for April to sit up and declare she was perfectly fine.
Subsequently, Marlon's growing desperation led him to install a tracking device on April. During Thursday's dramatic instalment (April 2), he revealed to April his shocking actions.
However, some viewers have forecasted that this intensifying situation may precipitate Marlon's untimely demise, perhaps even by a second stroke caused by the unrelenting stress April continues to heap upon him.
The audience recalls Marlon's life-altering experience in March 2022, when a sudden stroke forever altered his life's trajectory. Now, fans voice their opinion online that Marlon may succumb to another stroke and subsequently face death.
A post in an Emmerdale fan group on Facebook read: "What April did to her poor dad was rotten. I do believe Marlon is going too far but the man is actually terrified he's going to lose her. Don't know how the storyline will come to an end but I have to say I'm quite fed up of it! !".
A fellow fan opined: "Maybe Marlon will have another stroke and then she'll be so regretful at how she's been treating him.."
Another concerned enthusiast expressed: "She will drive him to another stroke and he'll die 100% calling it that's the outcome." Yet another chimed in: "I think Marlon will have another stroke with all the stress."
