Emmerdale viewers are speculating that Kim Tate, a long-standing character in the village, is on the brink of a surprising new romance.
Kim, portrayed by Claire King, has been a fixture in the popular soap since 1989 and as the village's femme fatale, she has been central to numerous major plotlines.
Her time on the show has been filled with drama, from her numerous disputes in the Dales to the audacious act of faking her own death.
She's also had her fair share of notable romances - from her affair and subsequent marriage to Frank Tate (Norman Bowler) to her recent love interest Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), her romantic escapades have often been the subject of village gossip.
Following Will's demise, Kim has immersed herself in work, but viewers are now convinced that another romantic storyline is in store for the soap veteran, reports Leicestershire Live.
Recently in the Dales, Kim found herself in a tricky situation when she became distracted by a work call and inadvertently left her gun within reach of her grandson Thomas.
Gabby (Rosie Bentham), Thomas' mother, was livid when she came home to find him playing with the gun box. In her anger, she informed Kim that they were moving out and relocating to Wishing Well with her boyfriend Vinny (Bradley Johnson) and the Dingles.
However, Gabby began to butt heads with Sam Dingle (James Hooton) who also started to feel the strain at home. He then paid a visit to Home Farm to see Kim, where he misled her by saying Gabby was considering moving to Leeds, causing her concern.
In a bid to keep Gabby and her grandson nearby, Kim told Gabby she was welcome to move into Dale View on the house. Delighted at the prospect, Gabby jumped at the opportunity, thrilled about her fresh start with Vinny.
Yet, Kim quickly discovered Sam had deceived her and despite her confrontation, she expressed a kind of admiration for his gutsy move. Now, Emmerdale viewers are speculating that a steamy affair might be brewing between Kim and Sam—who is currently married to Lydia Dingle, played by Karen Blick.
On one Emmerdale Facebook fan group, a fan speculated: "Anyone else pick up on a vibe between Kim and Sam..." Another added fuel to the fire saying: "How long until they sleep together then."
Echoing the sentiment, a third member commented: "I thought the same." While another expressed their dismay, stating: "I will be so upset if he cheats on Lydia! No Sam just no."
