Emmerdale's Will Ash reunites with former co-star after sharing sadness over exit

1 month ago 201

Emmerdale's Will Ash, known for playing Caleb on the hit ITV soap, recently joined in the festivities at Lewis Cope's birthday party.

The gathering, which took place at Idols nightclub in Hartlepool, saw celebrations continue into the small hours of Sunday morning.

John Gate, owner of the Church Street club, had a hunch that Emmerdale stars might make an appearance that night.

Relaying a humorous incident, he shared: "When he arrived there was a young girl leaving the club and she said to him 'you must get this all the time, but you look just like that bloke from Emmerdale'. He just looked at me and smiled, and I said to her 'it is the bloke from Emmerdale' and she came back into the club to get a photo with him."

Lewis Cope graced the screens as Caleb's son Nicky on Emmerdale between 2022 and 2024. In past coverage, we've noted Will Ash's reaction to his on-screen son's departure from the show.

Will commented: "I was gutted to see Lewis go but he wanted to spread his wings," reports Leeds Live.

Undoubtedly, fans are left wondering if the character Nicky will ever make a return to the Dales.

Since Caleb joined Emmerdale as part of the Dingle family in December 2022, his character has been involved in several intense and life-threatening storylines.

In tonight's episode, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) becomes frustrated when his attempt to knock Caleb out doesn’t go according to plan.

Earlier, Joe had been told by Dr. Crowley (James Hillier) that Caleb was a match for their organ donation scheme. The doctor also mentioned that a surgery slot had been arranged, and all Joe needed to do was ensure Caleb was unconscious to proceed with the operation.

Joe had carefully mapped out his plan, but he didn’t foresee that things might not unfold as he expected.

Emmerdale airs Mondays-Fridays at 7:30pm on ITV1.
