Facebook offering TikTok & YouTubers $3,000 to post content

Meta has unveiled an aggressive new push to attract top-tier content creators, offering payments of up to $3,000 per month through a newly launched initiative called the “Creator Fast Track” programme.

The move is widely seen as a direct challenge to rival platforms such as TikTok and YouTube, as Meta attempts to strengthen Facebook’s position in the highly competitive creator economy.

A strategic bid to win creators

Under the programme, Meta is targeting established creators with significant followings across social platforms. Eligible participants will receive guaranteed monthly earnings for three months, alongside increased visibility for their content—particularly Facebook Reels.

Creators with more than one million followers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can earn up to $3,000 per month, while those with at least 100,000 followers are eligible for payments of up to $1,000 per month.

Meta says the goal is to reduce the risk for creators transitioning or expanding onto Facebook, offering them a stable income stream while they build audiences on the platform.

Monetisation beyond the initial boost

In addition to guaranteed payments, creators enrolled in the programme will gain immediate access to Facebook’s suite of monetisation tools. These include revenue streams such as ads on Reels, in-stream ads, and performance-based payouts.

The company emphasized that the programme is not just a short-term incentive, but a pathway to long-term earnings, allowing creators to continue generating income after the initial three-month period ends.

Billions already paid to creators

Meta highlighted its growing investment in the creator ecosystem, revealing that it paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025 alone. This represents a 35% increase compared to the previous year and marks the company’s highest annual payout to date.

The surge reflects Meta’s broader strategy to compete more aggressively in the digital content market, where platforms are increasingly investing heavily to retain and attract influencers.

New tools to track earnings

Alongside the Creator Fast Track programme, Meta has introduced new performance metrics aimed at improving transparency for creators.

These include “Qualified Views,” which measure meaningful engagement, and “Earnings Rate,” designed to help creators better understand how their content translates into revenue.

According to Meta, these tools will allow creators to optimise their content strategies and maximise their income potential on the platform.

Intensifying platform competition

The announcement underscores intensifying competition between major social media platforms for creator loyalty. With TikTok and YouTube continuing to dominate short-form and video content, Meta’s latest initiative signals a renewed effort to bring high-performing creators back into Facebook’s ecosystem.

Industry analysts suggest that guaranteed payouts, even if temporary, could be a powerful incentive—especially for creators seeking diversification of income streams in an increasingly volatile digital landscape.
