A former East Belfast primary school teacher has pleaded guilty to six child sex offences in court today.
William Maher appeared at Belfast Laganiside Court on Tuesday, March 18, where he admitted six out of ten child sex offence charges that he was accused of, after previously entering not guilty pleas at the beginning of the month.
He admitted to three charges of inciting two different children under the age of 13 into sexual activity on dates between September 1, 2021, and May 24, 2022.
He also admitted three charges of sexual communication with a child against two children on dates between September 1, 2021, and May 24, 2022.
Maher will now appear at Laganside Court on Monday, May 12, for sentencing.
Last year, Maher received a three year probation order after pleading guilty to sexual communication with two children at Belfast's Laganside Court on Friday, May 17.
He admitted contacting one of his young victims via the youngster's Instagram account on dates between May 6 and 25, 2022, whilst he engaged in sexual conversations with the second child on dates between August 20, 2018 and July 1, 2019.
