Getting cooler and staying windy across Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fl. – Heavy rain and strong winds blanketed Central Florida late Saturday into early Sunday morning. Thankfully, there were no severe weather warnings in the area but many cities picked up record rainfall totals during that timeframe.

Through the Sunday morning, a few isolated light showers are possible buy dry air will continue to move in behind a low pressure system diminishing rain chances this afternoon.

Clouds are expected to be around and staying windy with gusts between 20-45 mph and sustained winds out of the east between 15-30 mph but the sunshine is expected to return closer to sunset.

Milder temperatures are expected during the morning hours and then slowly get cooler by the afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to fall through the morning into the afternoon. Overnight low temperatures are expected to fall into the middle 50s and staying breezy.

Monday, expect mostly sunny skies with highs below average in the upper 60s.

A dry cold front is expected to move through Monday night in Tuesday morning pulling in colder air from the north.

Tuesday morning temperatures are expected to start off in the upper 30s and 40s with highs in the upper 50s and breezy.

Wednesday morning will be another cold morning. Chilly temperatures once again in the 30s and 40s. We warm back up into the 70s by the end of the week..
