Graham Norton is set to take a much-deserved break from his hit BBC One chat show next month, with the Irish comedian announcing the hiatus on Friday's (10 January) episode of The Graham Norton Show. He also confirmed which other BBC star will be stepping in to host in his absence.
The beloved 61 year old host is jetting off to Australia in February for his very first Australian tour. His live tour, entitled An Evening with Graham Norton, will entertain audiences in cities like Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, and Melbourne throughout March. The live show sees Graham share fun stories and career highlights with the audience, before taking part in a Q&A session.
In his absence, a familiar face from the BBC, Claudia Winkleman, will be stepping into his shoes on Friday, 28 February on The Graham Norton Show. After expressing his gratitude to Claudia for filling in, she humorously responded: "I apologise in advance!"
Claudia was among the recent guests on Graham's couch on 10 January, alongside Myles Smith, Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, and Billy Porter. During her stint on the show, she shed light on the new series of The Traitors, which kicked off on 1 January, reports the Mirror.
"I am always very nervous that people aren't watching and then incredibly grateful that they are. I feel about Traitors like people feel about an offspring you're so glad when people love it. I can't say much but the producers are so clever and there are lots of twists and turns coming," she confessed to Graham.
Claudia's fashion sense has become a significant highlight on The Traitors, with many fans admiring her winter wardrobe choices. She disclosed that her distinctive style for the third series drew some Royal inspiration.
Speaking to Graham, she explained: "We always like to have a muse for Strictly it has been Anita Dobson and this year it was Demis Roussos. For Traitors it's Princess Anne meets Sarah Brightman. We've already decided on next year's I'll be dressing as Gerald from Clarkson's Farm! ".
The Traitors first graced our screens on BBC One in 2022, quickly becoming a cult favourite among television enthusiasts. The success only grew with its second series, setting the stage for an even more enthralling third series currently being broadcast on the network's premium channel.
The Graham Norton Show airs on BBC One on Friday 10th January 10.40pm. Also available on BBC iPlayer.
