Boxing legend Barry McGuigan and radio host Dean McCullough were among the contestants spotted arriving "Down Under" on Monday for I'm A Celebrity, which kicks off at the weekend.
The pair touched down in Australia ahead of entering the jungle. Playing down his decision to do the ITV show until he was officially confirmed as a contestant, 63-year-old McGuigan said: "I'm here out here to sign the next best Australian fighters. I'll go searching for him and there might be some trials along the way."
He added: "I have done some camping but not very often, I used to do it in the scouts." Asked if he was scared of snakes or spiders, Barry, 63, said: "I can't answer that, stop asking."

McGuigan will be the only sportsman in camp after Ally McCoist dropped out, the Mirror reports.
He landed hours after BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough was spotted arriving at Brisbane Airport. The Newtownabbey radio star has seen his career blow up over the last number of years, featuring on shows such as Big Brother as a panellist.
According to the Mirror, he also appeared coy when he whizzed past reporters, joking he was in Australia to adopt two koala bears named 'Ant and Dec.'
He said: "It feels so good to be in Australia, it is my first time. I am actually here to pick up two koalas that I have adopted, they are called Anthony and Declan." Asked if he would be scared of snakes or spiders he quipped: "I'm alright, I have dealt with enough snakes in my life. It's not the snakes you need to be worried about."
Dean will now spend time in isolation on the Gold Coast before traditionally meeting up at a reception with hosts Ant and Dec at the end of the week before they face trials and head into camp.
On Sunday there were the arrivals of McFly star Danny Jones, Coronation Street's Alan Halsall and singer and former X factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos. More famous faces are expected in the next 24 hours.
The campmates are also thought to include Coleen Rooney, 38, wife of footballer Wayne and also famous for the Wagatha Christie trial with Rebekah Vardy over leaked stories about her family.
This year's show will see the show kick off with a revamp, with the famous 'Walk the Plank' opening trial axed. ITV bosses will also film some of the opening scenes at a ten-bedroom Diamond Head estate worth £21 million to kick off the series in style.
I'm A Celebrity will launch on Sunday (November 17th) at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
