The PSNI are at the scene of the 'sudden death' of a woman in Co Down on Saturday night.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances involving the death of the woman at a property in Banbridge on December 14.
Cordons are currently in place at the scene in the Laurel Heights area.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman at a property in the Laurel Heights area of Banbridge this evening, Saturday 14th December.
"Cordons are in place. More details will follow in due course."
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart took to social media to ask for respect for the community at this time.
She said: "I am aware of an ongoing incident in the Banbridge area. I would ask everyone to give the emergency services time and space to conduct their duties, and respect the privacy of the local residents."
