Iran has firmly rejected claims of productive negotiations with the United States, stating that no direct or indirect talks took place over the past weekend.
In a statement issued today, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the country would continue its military operations until its objectives are fully achieved, signaling no immediate willingness to de-escalate the ongoing conflict.
The ministry also warned that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed to any parties attacking Iran, underscoring the strategic and economic implications of the standoff for global energy markets.
Iran further emphasized that it would not engage in any discussions with the United States until its goals are met, reiterating that no negotiations—either directly or through intermediaries—had been conducted in recent days.
Responding to remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump on his Truth Social platform, the ministry claimed that Washington’s statements reflected mounting pressure on the United States. It cited both military pressure from Iranian forces and financial strain within the U.S. as contributing factors.
The statement also revealed that several Middle Eastern countries had attempted to mediate and propose a ceasefire. However, Iran maintained that it was not the party that initiated the conflict and urged mediators to convey that position to the United States.
Meanwhile, Iran’s National Security Council issued a separate statement affirming that Iranian forces would continue fighting and expressing confidence that their adversaries would ultimately face defeat.
