Emmerdale viewers are bracing themselves for a potential new pregnancy storyline involving April Windsor.
Last year, viewers were gripped as April (portrayed by Amelia Flanagan) vanished after clashing with her father Marlon (played by Mark Charnock). Her disappearance followed a tumultuous period in the Dales.
The young character was later discovered in an unexpected turn of events, giving birth in a gym toilet, only to face the heartbreak of a stillborn child.
Now back in the village, the revelation of April's pregnancy stunned those close to her. When pressed about the baby's father, she claimed it was a "random" from a party.
Despite her efforts to find normalcy again, April attended a party at Arthur Thomas' (Alfie Clarke) house last week, where she interacted with another teenager, Kai, who showed concern for her well-being, reports Leicestershire Live.
Kai offered reassurance that no one judged her for what she'd been through, but when he delved deeper, April asked him to drop the subject, "offering him a reward" for his discretion.
The scene later shifted to show April and Kai coming downstairs, only to be met by her dad Marlon, leading to an awkward exit by April from the house.
The insinuation was clear: April and Kai might have been intimate, which infuriated Marlon at the mere thought of his daughter being sexually active in their friend's home.
But now, the audience is convinced that April could be facing another pregnancy. In a surprising twist, however, they suspect that Kai may not be the father.
Fans took to an Emmerdale Facebook group with speculation over April's storyline, with various theories emerging.
One concerned viewer wrote on the page: "I really hope April doesn't end up pregnant again..." sparking conversation among the soap's followers. Another chimed in, questioning a recent character addition: "Maybe that's why they've introduced that lad?".
Still, another fan was quick to discount the newcomer, Kai, as the potential father, saying: "Would be too obvious for him to be if she is preg again."
Meanwhile, someone else suggested a different angle: "Maybe that same guy as before? Remember she went out last week without telling Marlon and we didn't see where she went?"
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
