Twin brothers have been accused of killing a father by beating him with brass knuckles in front of his young child after he caught them breaking into his car.
Alexander and Nicholas VanDuren, both 32, have been accused of murdering Sean Shea, 36, of Kenmore, at a Motel 6 in Lacey, Washington on August 30.
Sean was staying at the motel with his wife and two children after attending a wedding when his seven-year-old heard someone breaking into the car and woke his father up around 9.30pm.
Shea opened the window and began arguing with the twins. When he went outside to confront them, they 'pushed and punched the victim,' court documents, viewed by KOMO News, said.
Shea then fell backwards and hit his head, suffering a 'fracture to the back of his head.' The twins then allegedly continued to beat and kick him until he was unconscious and later died at St. Peter's Hospital.
In court on Thursday, Sean's fiancé Sheena Shea begged the court to put the brothers in prison for life.
'And my child had to witness it and it was horrible. For a seven-year-old to see that happen to his father, these men should go to prison for life.'

Nicholas VanDuren, 32, is still on the run and has been arrested 24 times prior
Alexander was arrested on Wednesday and is being held on a $1million bond, but Nicholas is still on the run and considered dangerous. He is also believed to be driving a 2016 Ford Fusion with license plate: CEJ9093 and has an ace of spades tattoo on his shoulder.
Nicholas has been arrested 24 times and has six felony convictions, according to KOMO News. He also has eight gross misdemeanors and was just released from jail in April.
'We will find Nicholas, we will take him into custody,' Detective Eric Lever told King 5 News. 'It’s not a matter of if, it’s just a matter of when.'
A motel resident, who did not want to be identified, said he heard a young boy ask: 'Where’s my daddy?'
'That is one thing that stuck with me. Just hearing him ask: "Where is my daddy?" [It] was really heartbreaking,' he told KOMO News.
Alexander is expected to appear in court again on December 28. He has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
