A motorcyclist who died following a tragic collision with a lorry in Antrim has been named as Lee McCormick by police.
The 53-year-old father of two from the Ballymena area died of injuries that he received in the collision which took place at around 9.35am in the Steeple Road area.
Inspector Cherith Adair of the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit said: “At approximately 9.35am, we received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry. The male, who was the rider of the motorcycle, sadly died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

“The Steeple Road, which was closed for a number of hours has since reopened to traffic.
“Enquiries are continuing and anyone who witnessed the collision or with CCTV or other footage that could assist with our investigation is asked to contact police at the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference number 325 16/01/25.”
A statement on James Henry Funeral Services social media page paid tribute to Lee, saying that he was a beloved husband, father, and brother, who will be sadly missed.
It said: "McCormick Lee 16th January 2025, tragically, as the result of a road traffic accident. Much loved husband of Lorna, loving father of Blaine and Rylee, devoted son of Josie and the late Leslie, dear brother of Tracey and Dawn and a beloved brother-in-law and uncle.
" Funeral service in The Victory Praise Community Church, Pennybridge Industrial Estate, Ballymena on Sunday 19th January at 1.30pm, interment afterwards Ballee Cemetery. House strictly private. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, may be sent to James Henry Funeral Services, 100 Broughshane Street, Ballymena, BT43 6EE for Community Rescue Service N.I.
