A man arrested after a woman's body was found on a ferry has been released without charge - and it's believed her death was a personal tragedy.
The woman whose death on a ferry heading towards Rosslare is centre of a Garda probe was named locally as Mary Cash.
Ms Cash, who was 39, was among a group of people who were travelling to Rosslare Euro Port in Co Wexford on a ferry from Fishguard in Wales when the tragedy happened on Tuesday afternoon.
Ms Cash was Irish, but was living in the United Kingdom. It's understood she was among a group of family and friends who were heading to a funeral in Co Kildare when she was found dead in a bathroom in a cabin of a Stena Line ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare.
It's understood the grim find occurred around 35 miles off the coast of Wexford. A man was arrested by gardai but - in the latest update - gardai confirmed he has been released without charge.
Sources say at this stage gardai do not believe Ms Cash suffered a violent death. Instead, officers suspect her death was a personal tragedy.
