A preliminary investigation revealed Coleman got into a verbal dispute with someone on the phone and began firing shots at the victim.

A man is in custody after shooting his roommate in Vienna, Virginia, Saturday afternoon, according to the Fairfax County Police.
Officers received a call for a report of a shooting just before 5 p.m. at the 8400 Block of Wesleyan Street in Vienna, Virginia.
Police say the victim was a former tenant of the home and was visiting the suspect, who was later identified as Johnathon Coleman.
A preliminary investigation revealed Coleman got into a verbal dispute with someone on the phone and began firing at the victim. According to police, the victim was shot in the upper torso.

— Fairfax County Police (@FairfaxCountyPD) July 30, 2022When officers arrived, they found the victim outside of the home. He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The man refused to listen to officers' commands, Fairfax County police said. Shortly after, Officers with the Special Operations Division arrived and took Coleman into custody.
Coleman was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
There were two other adults inside of the home during the shooting, but neither was injured, Fairfax County police said.
According to officials, Coleman was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He is being held without bond.
