Michael Gambon, Beloved as Dumbledore in ‘Harry Potter,’ Dies at 82

Sir Michael Gambon has died at the age of 82, his family announced Thursday.

The Irish-English actor, who starred in dozens of films but is perhaps best known internationally for playing Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, passed away “peacefully” in a hospital, his wife and son said in a statement.
