A bizarre road rage incident in the heart of London was captured on dash cam, showing two drivers aggressively vying for a single car length advantage. The grey car is seen battling with a Nissan Micra to inch ahead in the footage.
When the red car's driver wouldn't yield, the BMW driver persisted in their struggle for dominance on the streets of Hanwell, near Ealing, West London. Both drivers had to slam on their brakes to avoid crashing into a grey Citroen Xsara ahead, who was likely baffled by the commotion unfolding behind them.
Ultimately, the hatchback driver conceded and allowed the other vehicle to take the lead.
However, the BMW driver didn't accept the victory politely; instead, they extended an arm out of the window and made a rude gesture. The 29-second clip was recorded from a lorry's dash cam trailing the squabble.
Local residents were left shaking their heads at the BMW driver's antics. One commented sarcastically: "Wow, they saved three metres and two seconds. Worth it.", reports the Mirror.
Another weighed in: "From what we see it would seem like the red car has the right of way, depending on if the road is merging into one. I hate those types of roads as you do get some drivers that like to try and undercut."
Mike questioned: "BMW? Why did the Nissan guy not in the lane think it was okay to push in? " Others condemned both motorists for their childish behaviour. A bystander remarked: "Children out playing."
while another queried: "Why do they care about 12ft? " And yet another added: "My God, just for one space."
Earlier this week, a shocking incident unfolded on a busy A-road when two men, caught in a bout of road rage, were filmed wrestling on the ground. The altercation took place at traffic lights, involving drivers of a grey Toyota Prius and a maroon Ford Fiesta.
As tempers reached boiling point, the men ended up grappling on the tarmac. A woman emerged from the Fiesta in an attempt to break up the fight.
A bystander in another vehicle was heard shouting: "He's getting sparked. He's getting sparked."
The incident occurred on January 12 on the A30 Great South West Road, near Hatton Cross by Heathrow Airport, with a local commenting: "Two drivers have a full on wrestle near Hatton Cross."
