Multiple vehicles, semis involved in crash on I-86 near Pocatello airport

POCATELLO — Emergency crews are on the scene of a large crash involving multiple vehicles and semi-trucks on I-86 in Pocatello.

The wreck happened around 8 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Pocatello Regional Airport.

Witnesses report several vehicles are off the road in the median and other trucks and cars are stopped on the freeway.

Idaho State Police reports traffic is being diverted off the freeway at exit 56. Drivers can expect major delays and should avoid the area if possible.
