NBA Legend Bill Walton Dies at 71: ‘Truly One of a Kind’

Bill Walton, who went from a being a National Basketball Association MVP and Hall of Famer to an equally legendary broadcaster, died Monday at 71.

The cause was cancer, according to multiple reports.

“Bill Walton was truly one of a kind,” said NBA commissioner Adam Silver in a statement.
