From Riley Keough and Suki Waterhouse to Toni Collette and Auli’i Cravalho, Amazon’s Prime Video is putting some of our favorite leading actresses front and center this March. Two big star-studded series are coming out next month, including the adaptation of a hugely popular Taylor Jenkins Reid novel.
The streamer will start the month off strong with Daisy Jones & The Six on March 3, an adaptation of Reid’s NYT bestseller of the same name. Keough stars as the titular Daisy Jones, an aspiring singer who joins a rising rock band with plenty of drama. When romances spin out of control and the band members start vying for power, a la Fleetwood Mac, the band struggles to deal with its newfound popularity.
Then, on March 31, Prime Video has another hotly anticipated TV show debuting. Sci-fi drama The Power gives all teenage girls the ability to electrocute anyone in their vicinity with jolts coming from their fingertips. The new ability comes suddenly, and not long after, the young women realize they can provoke the same powers out of older women as well.
