After a weekend of "anticyclonic gloom" across Northern Ireland, conditions are set to remain the same over the coming days, according to weather forecasters.
The start of November has brought plenty of cloud and murky skies thanks to a high-pressure system, which is typically associated with warmer months. These unusual conditions for the time of year mean it will stay mild this week with above-average temperatures expected, both day and night
Overall the Met Office outlook for the coming days is for dry and rather cloudy conditions with only patchy rain or drizzle but with some bright spells developing..

After a mostly cloudy and damp start in places on Monday morning, here's what to expect for the coming days in Northern Ireland, according to the Met Office:
This evening and tonight:
Another dry and mainly cloudy evening and overnight period, likely cloudiest towards coastal Down and Antrim. It will be a mild night in most places but a little colder where skies become clearer. Minimum temperature 7°C.
Tuesday:
A dry but largely cloudy start, with some brighter interludes. Outbreaks of light rain or drizzle spread northeast through midday. Becoming dry again by the evening. Staying mild. Maximum temperature 13°C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Staying mainly dry and settled for Wednesday and Thursday. Always a lot of cloud but some brighter spells at times. Rain spreads in from west on Friday. Staying mild.
UK long range weather forecast: Saturday 9th November - Monday 18th November
Mainly cloudy with some patchy light rain and drizzle moving southeast on Saturday morning. Sunny spells will develop to the west of this, although further rain will probably reach some parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland by the end of the day.
This rain will spread southeast through Sunday while becoming increasingly light and patchy. Into the following week, a good deal of settled weather across the UK as high pressure builds back in. Most places should be dry, although some patchy light rain or drizzle could affect the far north at times.
Light winds may allow overnight fog to form, this slow to clear during the day. Temperatures will probably be above average overall, although with some cold nights possible. By mid-month, possibly turning a little more unsettled.
