Deadly crash happened near U.S. 1, Aurora Road

MELBOURNE, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a train on Sunday evening, according to Melbourne Police.

Police said the deadly crash happened on Aurora Road near U.S. 1, but did not say what time the incident happened.

Melbourne police will handle the investigation, according to an initial news release.

Police said portions of Aurora Road near the train tracks will be closed while they investigate.
