The PSNI have said that they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of a teenager who has been missing in the city since last Monday.
17-year-old Zyada Medhane was last seen in person on Monday 23rd December in the Great Patrick Street area and was later seen on a Facetime call at Belfast City Hall on 27th December.
Officers have appealed for anyone who knows of her whereabouts to come forward.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 17 year old Zyada Medhane. Zyada was last seen in person in the vicinity of Great Patrick Street, Belfast on Monday 23rd December 2024. Zyada was recently seen on a facetime call at Belfast City Hall on Friday 27th December at approximately 6:30pm.
"She is described as being 5’8, slim build, with black hair tied up. Zyada was last known wearing a white t-shirt, white/black trousers, white trainers and a white coat.
"If you have any information in relation to Zyada’s whereabouts, please contact 101 quoting reference number 678 of 27/12/24."
