Police to close Co Tyrone road as part of investigation into collision that killed teenager

Police will close a road in Dungannon on Wednesday for several hours while it carries out tests as part of an investigation into the death of an 18-year-old in a collision.

18-year-old Callum Quinn died following a single-vehicle collision on Coalisland Road, Co Tyrone, on Tuesday, March 4, shortly after 10.50pm.

As part of the investigation into the teenager's death, police will be carrying out tests at the scene between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday, March 26.

Diversions will be installed at the junctions of Lurgaboy Lane and Killymeal Road, and access will be limited to local residents.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The Coalisland Road in Dungannon will be closed for a number of hours tomorrow, Wednesday 26th March.

"Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit are due to carry out scene testing from 7pm until 9pm, following a fatal collision in the area on Tuesday 4th March.

"An 18-year-old man died in the single-vehicle road traffic collision involving a black Peugeot 207.

"Diversions will be in place at the junctions of Lurgaboy Lane and Killymeal Road.

"Local access will be accommodated for people living in the area.
