Primark is sending shoppers 'straight to the tills' for the 'most perfect summer shoes' - and they only cost £20 each. Shoppers have been swooning over the newly-released pair, which they say can be styled with almost anything.
Primark's £20 Floral Open Toe Heels feature a tropical-looking orchid flower on each shoe. There are two colours to choose from—red and blush pink—and sizes start from a UK three and go up to an eight.
A description of the heels on Primark's website reads: "These red open-toe heels are a true statement piece, with vibrant floral embellishments adorning the front for a bold and eye-catching touch. The satin finish adds a luxurious sheen, while the ankle strap and platform sole provide both style and support."
The store adds: "Perfect for adding a pop of colour to evening wear or elevating a special occasion outfit." The footwear has been a hit on social media, especially TikTok, where shoppers have been uploading rave videos about the shoes.
On the popular video-sharing platform, a content creator called Aavajean posted a clip of the red and blush shoes, describing them as "The most perfect summer shoe." In the comment section, a viewer called Mufaro asked: "Are they comfy?"
Aavajean admitted she raced to the checkout to buy the shoes 'without thinking'. She replied: "You know what, I didn’t even try them on, straight to the till." Mufaro commented back: "You know what I hear it would have done the same." This prompted Aavajean to add: "Too impulsive".
Elsewhere in the comments, Sophmuaa wrote: "Spectacular gimme 14 of 'em." Kelsie added: "Love omgggg." Katie Farrell said: "Need these." Lynzi admitted something many people would agree with, writing: "I’m tempted to buy a pair... but I mean I don’t really need another pair of shoes lol."
In a separate video uploaded to TikTok, fashion blogger Zoeilanahill gave her followers a glimpse of what the shoes look like on. In her video, captioned: "Let’s style the viral flower heels from Primark," she described the shoes as "stunning".
She wore the blush version of the shoes with a pair of light blue wide-leg jeans, an off-the-shoulder pastel blue top and a matching sequin bag. Reeling off all the other outfits the shoes would go well with, she said: "The ways of styling these are endless."
She added: "I love how they look. They are literally one of the most stunning shoes. They help to make a bit more of a statement. " One person replied: "OMG those shoes with that bag." Zoeilanahill herself responded back, saying: "How cute?!"
In another video about the shoes, this time uploaded by Primark's East London account, a shopper called Gina said: "I’m buying them asap." Jasmine added: "i need every colour please and thank you." However, Gaszczixx put: "They are cute but all of the shoes from primark are so uncomfortable and painful after a short time of wearing them."
Primark uploaded its own video of the new shoes, writing: "It’s giving 'I’m currently out of office'." After going live last night (April 8), the clip has already been viewed almost 20,000 times.
