Flight 170 lands in Boston after delay
ORLANDO, Fla. – A JetBlue flight headed from Fort Lauderdale to Boston was diverted to Orlando late Thursday because of an unruly passenger, according to WCVB-TV.
According to the report, JetBlue flight 170 took off from Fort Lauderdale just before 9:30 p.m. but was diverted to Orlando after a man making threats and claiming to be the devil punched a woman who was with him.
WCVB-TV reported that a passenger sitting close to the man said flight attendants put the woman who was attacked in the plane’s bathroom, and the man was punching the door to try to get her out.
The man was escorted off the plane in Orlando, the TV station reported.
Passengers said they had to exit the aircraft, wait for a new crew and then re-board the plane, which landed in Boston early Friday.

A passenger told WCVB-TV that JetBlue would not compensate them for the delay because the disruption was “outside of JetBlue’s control.”
