REXBURG — Police are searching for a missing Hispanic man who is well known in the Rexburg community and hasn’t been seen since November.

The Rexburg Police Department is looking for Herlindo Aguilar-Salgodo. His actual age is unclear, but Assistant Chief Gary Hagen says they are fairly certain he is in his 90s. A friend of Aguilar-Salgodo told EastIdahoNews.com he is 99 years old.

Aguilar-Salgodo speaks Spanish only. He is described as having brown eyes and grey hair.

Rexburg Police Chief Joshua Rhodes told EastIdahoNews.com Aguilar-Salgodo was last seen on Nov. 30 in Rexburg walking on North 2nd East by McDonald’s.

The police department first posted about him on social media on Wednesday so they could check his welfare. The post has more than 319 shares and almost 400 reactions.

Rhodes said Aguilar-Salgodo had been updated to a missing vulnerable adult as of Friday because they have concerns for his well-being and want to make sure he is okay.

Police said he does not drive or have a driver’s license. Aguilar-Salgodo is known to have a red tricycle that he rides or pushes.

“No evidence shows that foul play has taken place,” Rhodes said.

Contact Madison County Dispatch at (208) 372-5001 if you see him.
